The county is our home turf.

from the yard light to the back quarter

The shop sits on Highway 816 in Red Deer County — the acreage callouts other outfits treat as a long drive are the roads we live on. Farm power is its own kind of electrical work: long underground runs, hard weather, machinery that can’t sit dead in season. It gets planned like it matters, because out here it does.

  • 2.1Yard & security lighting
  • 2.2Barns & outbuildings
  • 2.3Shop panels & welder plugs
  • 2.4Trenched underground service
  • 2.5Grain-handling power
  • 2.6Acreage panel upgrades

PLATE Nº 3 · THE FAMILY

Rick, Jonathan & the name on the card.

The story starts in Fort St John, B.C., with a father and son pulling wire together. In 2007, Richard “Rick” Gravells — a longtime electrician — made it official and established Argee Electric Ltd.; today he runs it with his son Jonathan, more than forty years of trade experience between them.

The work has changed shape over the years — spec housing, custom homes, commercial shops, retail floors, farmyards — but the way it’s done hasn’t: show up on time, do it right the first time, charge a fair rate.

(The name? Try saying Rick Gravells’ initials out loud.)
